Baldwin County Democratic Executive Committee

What do Baldwin County Democrats Do?

It's simple.

Our job is to recruit, support and fund progressive candidates - lcol, state and national.

And this year, Democrats are all pumped up!

We’re rarin’ to roll up our sleeves - ready to start rallying, registering voters, ringing phones, and rapping on doors.

With two fresh young faces to throw our support behind - Alabama’s Shomari Figures for US Congress and Kamala Harris for our first black female President - we're high on the sweet scent of historic victories in November.

Kamala Harris has broken records in fundraising, volunteer sign-ups and voter registrations. And Shomari Figures has a 12-point lead in the latest polls. So we're off to a great start!

But, as you have probably heard, all politics is local.

Baldwin County Democrats have updated our Website to portray a more dynamic public presence. We’re investing in campaign software that allows us to target just the right voters and bring them to the polls. We’re organizing voter registration booths at local events and planning public rallies. We’re buying banners and flags and promotional items and flyers.

At the same time, we’re looking at the long game. We see beyond November 2024 to state and local elections in 2025 and ‘26. Right now, we are recruiting candidates for municipal and state house races over the next two years. We have some excellent prospects seriously eying runs, but no announcements right now. Still, when those races roll around next year, we’ll need cash to fuel their campaigns.

So all of this is going to cost money. Your contributions to Baldwin County Democrats will go to support causes and candidates that will fight to uphold reproductive rights, promote racial and LGBTQ equality, protect us from gun violence, bring healthcare to all and work to elect Democrats who can change the oppressive right-wing power structure in Alabama.

Baldwin County Democratic Clubs

Baldwin County is Alabama’s largest geographical county and we also have the fastest-growing population in our state. So there’s a steady stream of left-leaners moving into our neighborhoods. Because we’re so big, Baldwin Democrats have three district clubs that can build local community in each area - South Baldwin, North Baldwin and Eastern Shore Democrats. Our Baldwin County Democrats Executive Committee, made up of district club representatives, pulls us all together.
